”Moon Cane” is a floor luminaire.
It consists of a led lamp in a plane glass blob which is placed on a black steel baton. It may be used as a hanger too.
It is about a ”study” of a glimpse between art and design, black and white, circle and line. It may be attributed different qualities and roles:
from an art installation to a functional object, luminaire or hanger.
It aims to prompt user’s senses in a way that they will be involved in an imaginative play where individual’s personality, culture, experience and intuition will shape the final perception.
”Moon Cane” is inspired by that inexplicit antithesis of our being.
As though our opposed components, our shadowy and luminous substance, deficiency and perfection, frailty and strength, compose a heavy, ”solid” body by which light is transmitted.
How it would be felt if standing in the midst of a moon-cane swamp?
Hopeful, buoyant, alive.
